The biggest mistake when they do your will record their demo is rocking to the workshop without having done any preparation. Most depend sound engineers to provide the scripts for them. So now they use precious studio time to find their place with a script not know – something they could have done at home.
No ladies and germs. That studio time costs a fortune and you have to report. The key is to have all your equipment in advance – and practice your * ss off before you ever get to the workshop.
Here's how you can Get your equipment together:
1. Listen to the radio and take note of ads that you like. Keep a pen and paper handy, and copy the script. Then, the script more practical and more. Not just in your head – but say out loud. It should not be
Ad whole – it could also be a simple extract advertiser bit like an ad.
2. Probably the best way to go about getting on the script.
Go to the award of websites that have advertising sections of radio. For example: www.bestadsontv.com would your best bet. Then, you can also search results in categories winning radio www.radio-awards.net and www.dandad.org and www.canneslions.com. There are tons of mp3s online advertisements to choose Great International.
3. Another way to find material is to go on websites of agencies advertising and watch the work they have done. Go to their television or radio section and take sections of these scripts. See page 12 for a list of advertising agencies in Dublin.
4. You can also ask your engineer to send you some mp3s of scripts, he registered in the past. You can choose a song you like, write the script, and practice, practice, practice.
And that is all to do. The sound engineer to help you and guide you on the day, but it must bring something to the party. Otherwise, it's just like flushing your money down the bog.
IMPORTANT: Make sure your recording studio is one that is used by leading agencies. Do not make your demo on the price – to find the perfect guy for the job. Look Studios Dublin's good that you can inquire with your demo to.

The first thing you must do is get a list of advertising agencies in your area.
See page 12 for a list Dublin advertising agencies. Once you have their contact information, pick up the phone and start calling them. Talk to the receptionist and ask an e-mail from a writer and radio producer to the Agency. (Not all agencies have their own house producers, but many do.) Here how you build a database. It's a bit slow and painful, if a solution is to work together with another voiceover and share your information.
Once you have your database, think of something short and snappy to say in your e-mail coverage. Remember, you talk to people in advertising.
Attention-span: zero.
Something like: "Hi Mr. X, I'm so damn hot right now. Here's my demo voiceover for the show. The next time you are looking seductive temptress, please call me. "
Or something like that. The key is short and snappy. And include a brief explanation of something in your voice – the example "seductive temptress" could also be something like "a down-to-earth Read Right" or something else specific.
Spamming is a bit of a lottery – it may or do not drive to work. However, it is free and there is promotion for you. Stuck record here, but you have more ways of promoting yourself, the better.
